ATLAS BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CRISIS

WELCOME TO OUR SITE!

We provide emotional and practical support for pregnant women, individuals and families who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness due to crisis, violence, displacement, natural disaster or trauma. We offer the whole family support 24/7 as long as they need it.

OUR SHORT HISTORY

Social Good Atlas was established in 2015 and brought together Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, Maternal Health Nurses and community organizations to understand the behavioral health needs of the homeless families we serve. Our team is trained in evidence based therapies to provide short term crisis stabilization support.

We support the vision of our community partners to end hunger, homelessness and save lives.!We are proud that every year more partners, clinicians and volunteers join us in the fight to end the  cycle of crisis.

SUPPORT MORE FAMILIES

Increase the number of families receiving mental health wellness screening by expanding capacity in existing and new projects sites.

EXTEND OUR SERVICE

Pilot and develop services to provide support to families at-risk of homelessness and explore new social-geographic areas of need.

INCREASE OUR IMPACT

Increase public awareness about the importance of screening and treating all at-risk pregnant women and new moms for Postpartum Depression and providing Safe Sleep SIDS Prevention to reduce infant death.

OUR IMPACT

Our Fund provides emergency mental health first aid and crisis support for families and individuals in need to help reach our Health People 2020 goals:

Health People 2020 Goals

  • Decrease the number of homeless individuals experiencing a Major Depressive Episode following crisis, displacement or trauma.
  • Decrease the number of infant of deaths related to SIDS by providing Safe Sleep Advocacy and postpartum screening.
  • Decrease the number of young adults 17-24 with suicidal Ideation

PSYCHO EDUCATION

  • We support Psycho Educational Interventions to reduce the onset of a major depressive episode following a crisis or traumatic event.

MATERNAL HEALTH

  • We provide postpartum screening and counseling support. For mothers in crisis we provide one major item such as a crib, pack n play, car seat or stroller. We provide emergency supply of diapers, formula and clothing.
